Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how KONKR ("we", "us", "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the KONKR mobile application. By using KONKR, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Location data. KONKR is a GPS-based territory game. With your permission, we collect your device's precise location (including background location while you actively play) to place you on the map, track walking distance, and let you capture in-game territory tied to real-world coordinates. Location is essential to core gameplay.

Account & profile data. By default you play with an anonymous player ID. If you choose to link an account (e.g. Sign in with Apple or Google), we receive a basic identifier to save and restore your progress across devices. You may also set a display name and profile photo.

Gameplay data. We store in-game data such as territories claimed, deeds, rank, XP, coins, diamonds, crew membership, achievements, and walking statistics (distance, calories estimate, session time).

Purchase data. When you buy coins, diamonds, or a premium subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple or Google. We receive a confirmation of the purchase and entitlement status through our payments provider (RevenueCat). We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Device & diagnostic data. We may collect basic device information and crash/error logs to keep the app stable.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide core gameplay (mapping, territory capture, walking stats).
• To save and sync your progress across devices.
• To process and restore in-app purchases and subscriptions.
• To display leaderboards and your profile to other players (display name, rank, zones, avatar).
• To improve performance, fix bugs, and prevent abuse.

3. How We Store & Protect Data

Gameplay and account data are stored using our backend provider (Supabase). We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with service providers who help us run the app:

• Apple / Google — app distribution, sign-in, and payment processing.
• RevenueCat — managing purchase and subscription entitlements.
• Supabase — backend database and authentication.

Public game elements (display name, avatar, rank, zones held) are visible to other players via leaderboards and the map.

5. Your Choices & Rights

• Location. You can disable location permission in your device settings, though this will prevent core gameplay.
• Account deletion. You can delete your account and associated data from within the app (Settings → Delete Account).
• Data export. The app offers an Export Data option in Settings.
• Depending on your region (e.g. EEA, UK, California, South Korea), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us to make a request.

6. Children's Privacy

KONKR is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

7. International Users

KONKR is operated from South Korea and available globally. By using the app, you understand your data may be processed in countries other than your own.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
